High Five

On October 21, 2015, we celebrated Hudson's fifth birthday. I'm sure it sounds cliché to say it but I really don't know where the time has gone? Watching him grow has been the greatest joy of our lives. This year it was all about soaking up quality time with our sweet boy. I took the day off of work and we went to the zoo. That evening we celebrated with a small 101 Dalmatians themed party at home. Andie got to experience her first ever birthday cake and loved it.

At the Patch

Hudson's Pre-K class took a  fall field trip to the pumpkin patch in Stillwater. The day was a treat for me because I actually go to get away from the office for a bit and join in on the fun. The kids got to take a hay ride and pick out their pumpkins. There was a small petting zoo, sand mound and corn field maze to keep them entertained.

Little Pumpkins

Pumpkinville OKC was a hit with our little ones this year. We spent an entire Saturday playing in the sunshine and snuggling on our babies. Hudson and Wake loved making pumpkin crafts and looking at all of the different shapes and sizes of pumpkins. Andie was a big fan of watching the older kids play and grinned at just about every one she saw. We finished off the Saturday with pizza at Bleu Garten.

Mommy Goes to Memphis

After begging my parents many times on multiple road trips, I could never get them to take me to Graceland. Fortunately at a professional conference at the age of 25, my dream was realized.  Let me tell you, I had been warned that I would be disappointed, but I was thrilled and it was everything I thought it would be. I'm not sure what my obsession is with Elvis, but it's been going on since I was a child. From his music to those blue eyes, I'm a fan.

The rest of the conference was a lot of fun, too. I had driven through Memphis many times, but never stopped to take in it's sites and sounds and most importantly, food! I left realizing I would forever crave BBQ nachos from Rendevous and I do, every. day. it's. a. struggle.

I'm so thankful to Kyle for stepping up the few days I was gone. It was sure tough leaving our two kiddos, especially because Andie was only 6 months old.  The best part was coming home to their loving hugs and sweet kisses.

Frozen on Ice

My sweet best friend got us tickets to Frozen on ice this year and it was so fun. It is a fun outing that Hudson has grown to love and look forward to. This was even better because we got to take little Anderson and she absolutely loved it.

Pre-K Kiddo

It's so true that when you are raising children, sometimes the days seem so long but the years are so very short.

When Kyle and I brought Hudson home from the hospital, we had no clue what we were getting ourselves into. Now we have this precious 4-year-old who is smart, kind, sensitive and hilarious and the child he has grown to be, makes me swell with pride.

I don't know what he's going to be someday, but I can tell you for now, he wants to be a Lumberjack.

Shopping for school supplies wasn't exactly as exciting as I'd hoped it'd be for him.

Checking out his new school.

I promise I only cried a little when I got to my car.
